So frustrated with myself and training right now
Feel like I keep hitting a wall. Everyone feels the same I know. Everyones back from Japan and we are applying what they brought back with them to everything.
Just feel like shit.
I know the feeling. I go to class telling myself, “Don’t think too much.” Then all I do is think think think think.
Oddly enough, after a training session where I was especially frustrated with myself, my sensei commented that I was moving really well. Maybe he just knew I needed encouragement. But maybe I wasn’t doing as poorly as I thought. Looking at our movement from the inside out, we don’t always see the truth.

Sveneric Bogsater, Taijutsu legend.
The music is kind of silly and I feel like this video focuses on all the wrong things, featuring the “heavy” aspects of his taijutsu rather than the light. I’ve seen this man in other videos, and even though he has a larger stature, he’s very light on his feet and achieves maximum results with minimal effort.
Nevertheless, there’s some good stuff in this video.

Budo is life. Every step, breath and decision is training. Live. Learn. Adapt. Change. Be open to understanding and live with compassion. But most of all, Grow.
